Cambodia Casinos

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling hall gaming is prohibited. Eight casinos are situated in a generally tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect spot, a 3 to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing capital gained from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; although, funding sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 1700, and even though visas are allegedly necessary to pass, there are ways around this, as is correct of many border crossings.
The first Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in 1998, leaving only one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored boat gambling hall, contains one hundred and fifty slot machine games and sixty tables. The Naga river boat is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and sixty six of the familiar gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive vacation and hotel complex that contains many luxuries aside from the gambling den, which contains 10,000 square feet of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and 88 gaming tables.
