Don’t Drink … Gamble!
Thursday, 7. January 2016
If you enjoy a drink every now and then, leave your money at home if you set out to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Empty your handbag, your billfold, and leave all money, charge cards and checks back at the hotel. Only take only the money you expect to spend on alcohol, tips and only the pocket change you expect to burn and leave the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not at all. Realistic more like. You can experience a win after a boozy night out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to hit a 25 minute roll at a hot craps table. Keep that story seeing that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you regularly drink and wager. These activities just do not go well together.
Leaving your money back at the hotel is a bit excessive, but defensive measures for excessive actions is necessary. If you play to succeed, then do not drink and play. If you like to be wasteful with your cash without a concern, then drink all the complimentary alcohol you can handle, but don’t carry charge cards and checkbooks to toss into the mix of following squanderings after your bombed self squanders everything!
Let me to take this one step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then head on the internet to bet in your favorite casino either. I love to cocktail from the comfort of my house, however considering that I am connected through Neteller, Firepay and have charge cards at my fingertips, I can not drink and bet.
How come? Although I don’t drink alcohol a lot, when I drink, it’s certainly sufficient to cloud my common sense. I wager, so I do not drink when wagering. If you are more of a drinker, don’t gamble when you do. Both make for a decimating, and crazy, cocktail.
